Communications & Fundraising Officer
Position: COMMUNICATIONS & FUNDRAISING OFFICER

First Fortnight is seeking a part time Communications & Fundraising
Officer in the run up to the First Fortnight Festival **Apply on the
website**.

PERSONAL SPEC

You should have an ability to generate ideas, to work on your own
initiative and to work as part of a team in a busy environment. You
should also have strong communication skills - both written and
verbal, an ability to work to a deadline and under pressure. Have a
good friendly and enthusiastic manner and care about making a
difference.

ADVANTAGEOUS

A passion for mental health and challenging mental health prejudice
and stigma.

An understanding of Microsoft Office, Google docs, social media,
Mailchimp, basic online skills and trends & finally be confident with
trying and tackling new software.

Presentation skills- both physical and digital representation

A knowledge of picture editing software for resizing and editing
within templates.

Preferable candidates should have a third level honours degree in
Marketing/ PR/ Communications/ Multimedia or similar; an alternative
degree with relevant paid or unpaid experience will be considered.

Knowledge and experience of fundraising, especially digitally

RESPONSIBILITIES

The officer will be responsible for the following tasks-

Communications

-Leading a group of comms volunteers including organizing meetings,
developing communication plans and online content with them

-Will be responsible for social media strategy and management of
channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter

-Manage newsletter content, sends and growing audience

-Artwork, branding and messaging lead (including copy-writing,
proofing, approvals)

-Production assistance (when required)

-Responsibility to communicate on behalf of any First Fortnight
initiative

-Collaborate with PR Manager for First Fortnight **Apply on the
website** in relation to a Comms and PR plan for the festival.

-Collaborate with the First Fortnight Centre for Creative Therapies
team around communication and promotion of the service and service
expansions

-Developing a First Fortnight Ambassador programme

Fundraising

-Support fundraising initiatives and fundraising team in achieving
their targets

-Explore social media fundraising revenue options

-Lead out on one fundraising project.

commitments as this is a part time role.

The Communication Officer will report directly to the Programme
Co-Ordinator/Administrator and in their absence, the CEO.
