SOCIAL CARE WORKER (RESIDENTIAL)

PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES?

Delta Centre are recruiting for Social Care Worker to provide
holistic, person-centred social care within a residential setting,
promoting optimum independence, enhancing the quality of life for
service users with intellectual, physical or sensory disability in all
aspects of daily living.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

* Minimum of an Ordinary Bachelor?s Degree in Applied Social Care
Studies awarded by a recognised body (Level 7 on the National
Framework of Qualifications)
or
* Minimum of an Ordinary Bachelor?s Degree in Social Care Practise
awarded by a recognised body (Level 7 on the National Framework of
Qualifications)
or
* Minimum of an Ordinary Bachelor?s Degree in Applied Social
Studies (Disabilities) awarded by a recognised body (Level 7 on the
National Framework of Qualifications)
or
* A relevant qualification in a healthcare field awarded by a
recognised body (Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications)
and
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high
standard of suitability and ability) to properly discharge the
functions of the role.
* Full clean drivers? licence.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND/OR KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

* Ensure that the life and experience of each service user reflects
the core values of Delta Centre and that all service users.

* Experience dignity and respect.
* Are afforded the opportunity to make choices.
* Have an opportunity to contribute and learn.
* Are protected from all forms of Abuse.

* Review and put into practice the details of Person-Centred Plans
for each service user.
* Participate in regular reviews of any protocols/plans of care for
each service user.
* Have experience in behaviours that challenge.
* Understand and facilitate service users needs by appropriate
communication systems.
* Assist each service user in reaching their maximum potential in
independence, communication and personal development.
* Establish trusting relationships through consistency of care.
* Adhere to all Delta Centres Policies, Procedures, Employee
Handbook and working practices.
* Adhere to all national policies, including (but not limited to)
HIQA Standards, HSE policies, including any Safeguarding policies.
