GENERAL MANAGER REQUIRED

The After Schools Education & Support Programme (ASESP) was

programme provides a much-needed service to the local community, it
also provides local employment and adult education. The programme is a
vital service to the North Wall Community.

Current services include Early Years Education, Schools Age Services,
Teen Peer Education Programmes These services are provided to Families
living in the North East Inner City Approximately **Apply on the

Community, the remainder are referred by agencies and some are living
in sheltered accommodation and from New Communities.

ASESP is a Company Limited. It is primarily funded by the DCYA, with
additional support from the HSE and the Department of Social
Protection . The Management Committee is made up of volunteers and
individuals from a range of statutory and voluntary organisations
which represent the diverse needs of our service users. We work in
close partnership with local agencies to best meet the presenting
needs of services users and the community.

GENERAL MANAGERS ROLE

The General Manager will have primary responsibility in developing and
implementing the ASESP strategic vision and direction. The Manager
will also have overall responsibility for the development of the
Service and oversee its operation on a day to day basis. They will
take the lead role in fostering the culture of the organisation.

He/she will lead a well-established team consisting of an Early Years
Manager, Community Employment Supervisor, Payroll Administrator
Childcare practitioners, Administrator, Housekeeping staff, Catering

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Long Service increments will apply. The starting salary for this post

CONTRACTUAL BASIS: The post is offered on a one-year fixed term
contract basis initially and is subject to a probationary period of 6
