Irish?Hospice Foundation?is an Ireland where people experience
dying, death and bereavement with the care and support they need. As
part of our new five-year strategy we would like to significantly
increase awareness?of the work that the IHF does.

We need a strong financial leader with solid support services
experience to provide financial and operational leadership and ensure
financial compliance and prudence in the work of the foundation.

The?successful?candidate for the role of HEAD OF FINANCE AND
CORPORATE SUPPORT SERVICES will report to the CEO and will be
responsible to both the Finance & Remuneration and Audit, Risk &
Governance Committees. S/he will be a member of the senior management
team and will contribute to the overall success of the organisation by
effectively managing the finance and corporate support functions and
leading on risk and governance matters, as well as contributing to the
overall management and strategic direction of the organisation.

CORE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

_FINANCE AND INTERNAL CONTROL_

* Prepare the Directors? Report and Financial Statements in a
timely manner, in accordance with best practice and GAAP ensuring the
annual external audit is conducted in an efficient manner
* Project manage the publication of the Annual Report
* Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, providing
key analysis and recommendations
* Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts to ensure the
sustainability of the organisation and develop, manage, monitor and
report on the business planning process across the organisation. In
conjunction with the business plan, report on the financial
performance of all income generating activities, support project
planning with financial projections and prepare and report on funding
applications to trust, foundations and State bodies
* Process all day-to-day financial transactions including payroll,
accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses and banking
* Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial
and control policies and procedures including procurement
* Work to support senior managers in the management of their
devolved budget
* Manage relationships with bankers, pension and insurance providers
* Maintain regular communication with the members of the Finance &
Remuneration Committee, scheduling and attending meetings and
preparing all papers and minutes

_RISK AND GOVERNANCE_

* Be the lead monitor of potential risks affecting the organisation
and ensure appropriate management policies and procedures are in place
to meet these risks, including maintaining the organisation?s risk
register
* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
* Maintain a robust governance framework and ensure compliance with
all requirements of the Charities Regulatory Authority
* Act as Company Secretary and ensure compliance with all Company
Office requirements and all provisions of the Constitution
* Maintain regular communication with the members of the Audit, Risk
& Governance Committee, scheduling and attending meetings and
preparing all papers and minutes

_STRATEGY_

* Contribute to the development and delivery of the strategic plan in
conjunction with other members of the Senior Management Team
* Develop the ongoing monitoring system for IHF strategy and annual
business plan
* Work with senior managers, to monitor delivery of business plan
targets

_CORPORATE SUPPORT SERVICES_

* Lead the organisation?s HR function, ensuring compliance with all
employment law and internal policies and procedures and managing day
to day HR administration; (additional support is provided on this
function)
* Manage all health and safety requirements
* Support the organisation?s IT network by providing first level
support to staff and liaising with external suppliers on both
day-to-day services as well as larger projects
* Oversee all reception and facilities management activities
* Assist in support COVID-**Apply on the website** return to office
processes

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

* Qualified chartered accountant with a minimum of ten years post
qualification experience
* A minimum of five years? experience in a multi-faceted senior
management role
* Demonstrable record of achievement in project management
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
* Excellent IT literacy
* Some experience of HR management
* Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable

This is a full-time role (**Apply on the website** hours per week)
based in the organisation?s head office in Dublin city centre.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
