ARC Cancer Support: Services Manager
SERVICES MANAGER, FULL-TIME PERMANENT

people affected by cancer and their loved ones. ARC provides
psychological, educational, emotional and practical support to its
clients and all of ARC's services are free of charge.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about delivering a high
quality, effective service to people affected by cancer. It is
important to us that our clients experience a warm and welcoming,
confidential and professional service each time they visit.

Reporting to the CEO, the candidate must demonstrate strong and
innovative leadership and management skills. A key aspect of the role
will be to develop and maintain the services in this changing
environment while keeping the culture and ethos of ARC at the
forefront. This requires a client-centric attitude, excellent
management and interpersonal skills, empathy, problem-solving
abilities, and good prioritisation and organisation skills.

CORE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

* Review and develop ARC's services in the changing environment to
ensure day-to-day services run smoothly to a high standard.
* Directly supervise and manage the centre manager, coordinators and
admin staff and have overall responsibility for therapists and
volunteer management.
* Manage administrative elements, including contracts, therapist
invoices, etc.
* Plan and organise the resourcing of volunteers, directly employed
and outsourced to meet the demands of clients and the service
* Overall management of services budgets ensuring monitoring,
reporting and review of same
* Develop and maintain robust volunteer and staff induction and
training processes, ensuring up to date compliance with legislative
changes and government recommendations
* Ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of clients, volunteers,
therapists and staff is prioritised and implement and review health
and safety and other procedures in all locations
* Develop a performance management culture as well as clear
communication of the team's progress in meeting its performance
objectives
* Review, manage and update all relevant policies, procedures and
handbooks as required, involving relevant parties where necessary
* Carry out a regular review/audit of services to monitor impact,
client attendance and satisfaction, effectiveness and efficiency
* Ensure overall facilities are maintained to a high standard and
risks are assessed and remedial action taken where necessary
* Complete administrative, compliance and service delivery reports
* Work with colleagues on relevant funding applications
* Overall management of the Salesforce CRM system and recording of
client information
* Develop and manage relationships with internal and external
stakeholders
* Ensure good governance and compliance with necessary monitoring
bodies (HSE, Charities Regulator, HSA, etc.) and report.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

_ESSENTIAL_

* Minimum of 4+ years' experience leading & inspiring a busy team to
deliver results in a healthcare or related industry
* Experience in positively engaging with all stakeholders to the
organisation
* Experience of positively managing and resolving conflicts
* Third level qualification in Nursing, Social Care, Health,
Psychology or Allied healthcare discipline
* Sound knowledge of a client/service-focused industry including
planning, budgeting and reporting systems
* Ability to implement change
* Track record of managing client and staff relationships
* Knowledge of Health and Safety compliance and risk management
* Understand compliance needs and standards in the voluntary or
related sector
* GDPR knowledge

* Healthcare professional with oncology experience
* Clinical Nurse Manager experience
* Experience of facilities management
* First Aid and Children First training
* Salesforce system knowledge
* Knowledge of cancer care in Ireland
* Salesforce experience
