_MEALS ON WHEELS MANAGER_

Offaly Local Development Company is looking to recruit a full time
(**Apply on the website** hr) manager for the new South Offaly Meals
on Wheels project. This position will require work hours to be
flexible to facilitate events and operations that may take place on
weekends.

* REPORTING TO:?OLDC steering group via line manager
* WORKING HOURS: **Apply on the website** hours per week over seven
days.
* LOCATION: Crank house Banagher (travel will be required to
different production sites).

PENSION?OLDC CLG does not operate a pension scheme. However OLDC CLG
is prepared to facilitate deductions from the Employee?s salary and
the payment thereof to the employees chosen pension scheme?OLDC CLG
will not be making contribution
* EXPENSES:_?_Will be paid at civil service rates.
* DURATION OF CONTRACT:?One Year (subject to continuing Pobal
funding)
* PROBATION:?The Probationary Period will be 6 months (with
appraisals at three- and six-month intervals)

MEALS ON WHEELS ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT A **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOUR
MANAGER TO MANAGE ON A DAILY BASIS ALL OPERATIONS WITHIN THE MEALS ON
WHEELS CSP PROGRAMME AS OUTLINED BELOW. THIS MANAGER WILL REPORT TO
THE STEERING GROUP ON A MONTHLY BASIS OR MORE REGULARLY AS REQUIRED.
IT IS ENVISAGED THAT THE MANAGER WILL BE BASED BETWEEN CRANK HOUSE IN
BANAGHER AND THE SUPPLIER SITES.

THE MANAGER WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

* Supervise drivers and administration staff in the carrying out of
daily tasks as assigned.
* Supervise and liaise with the Meals and Wheels staff on a daily
basis ensuring that best practice standards are in place at all times.
* Supervise and liaise with administration re: funding applications,
financial returns, traded income, care and maintenance of facilities
etc?
* Organise maintenance and servicing of all company vehicles
ensuring vehicles are in perfect working condition at all times.
* Liaising with Community leaders organising volunteer buddy systems
for all routes.
* Develop markets, work on branding and marketing of all internal
output products, expand services to serve more people.
* Liaise with Steering group on a monthly basis preparing monthly
reports and in between as issues arise.
* Communicate with all staff on an interim basis re: ethos of MEALS
ON WHEELS and supporting the preparation of annual plans across all
work areas
* Liaise with community groups and service users re: levels of
service received
* Develop meals on wheels to deliver auxillary older persons
services focused on keeping people living in their own homes.
* Identify and organise appropriate training across all programmes
* General Day to day monitoring of overheads vehicles equipment
* Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of CSP grant agreement
* Ensure compliance with necessary health and safety standards and
work practices across all areas.

_REQUIREMENTS_

* Full clean drivers licence
* Proven experience as a project manager in social inclusion
services (min 2 years)
* Proven experience (min 3 years) in managing staff
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software
* A relevant third level qualification will be an advantage
