AREA SUPERVISOR (SOUTH EAST)

Active Connections Ireland leading adventure based mentoring provider
are recruiting for an Area Supervisor to maternity leave, this post is
a **Apply on the website** month contract for **Apply on the website**
hours a week

The area supervisor role is directly responsible for a team of front
line support workers.

We need professionals who are compassionate and articulate and who can
convert the Active Connections CLG experience into a life lesson.
Previous experience supervising a team is essential.

GENERAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support and lead a team of support workers
* To work directly with young people referred by Tusla/HSE,
generally staff 1:1 with young people.
* To schedule programmes of work and projects in partnership with
CEO;
* To develop and maintain a good working relationship with referrers
and careers of young people;
* To establish and maintain an effective system of communications
with CEO, referrer and careers;
* To produce and oversee paper work of supervisee team;
* To ensure that all reports are received and vetted in an orderly
and timely manner.
* To operate within the materials budget allocated
* To ensure that staff received regular and systematic structured
supervision
* To ensure that all staff act in a way that is complementary to
Active Connections and its core beliefs.
* To ensure that all work done complies with both organisational and
statutory health and safety regulations and legislation.
* Any other duties commensurate with the post

This role reports directly to the organisation CEO.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS:

* Qualification in Social Care/Counselling/Psychotherapy or relevant
qualification in this field.

* Full Clean Driver?s License and use of own car
* Experience of report writing, and vetting is essential
* Children?s First Training/Designated Liaison Person Training
* An ability to work flexibly and in an innovative way
