JOB OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for 2X FAMILY SUPPORT WORKERS **APPLY
ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS PER WEEK, based in Co Clare

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent Part Time

THE ROLE:

To provide in-home respite to families of children and young adults
with disabilities. The in-home support service will be coordinated by
the Family Support & Respite Co-coordinator, who will prioritize
families to be involved in the service, who agrees with each family
the type and level of support to be provided. The In-home Support
worker will be supervised by and work closely with the Family Support
& Respite Co-coordinator.

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* To work in accordance with Enable Ireland?s code of Practice,
Guidelines for working with children and families and other National
Policies, Guidelines and procedures as appropriate.
* Personal assistance in the areas of toileting, eating, dressing
and transferring as required.
* Assist service user with therapy exercises as required.
* Facilitate in social and leisure activities as required.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:_

* Minimum FEAC Level 5 Childcare course to include module on special
needs or Special Needs equivalent course (total 8 modules)
* Hold a full clean driving licence

_DESIRABLE CRITERIA:_

* 1 Years? experience of working with children with additional
needs.
* Up to date Manual Handling, First Aid, Children First,,ABA
Programme, PECS and LAMH
