Election and achieve our mission of increasing the number of women in
elected office.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Chief Executive Officer holds responsibility for the day-to-day
management of Women for Election in order to achieve its mission,
including implementation of the Women for Election strategy,
responsibility for achievement of financial and fundraising targets
and day to day operations. ?The CEO also plays an active role in
supporting the Board to deliver its governance responsibilities.

The role focuses on supporting candidates and potential candidates to
enter and succeed in elected office, at local, national and EU
elections. The development and delivery of our schedule of events,
training programmes, fundraising iniatiatives and advocacy are crucial
to the delivery of? our mission.

The role requires an individual with a significant knowledge and
experience of the political landscape and a commitment to act at all
times in line with Women for Election?s core value of
non-partisanship.

INTEREST IN POLITICS OR PUBLIC LIFE. _

Reporting to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, the duties are
as follows -

STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide leadership and direction and co-ordinate all activities to
drive achievement of the Women for Election vision, mission and
strategy both efficiently and effectively.
* Develop and implement a sustainable funding strategy to support
the organsiation over the next 3 years.
* Lead on the development and deepening of engagement with strategic
funders and donors
* Lead on external communications and external strategic
engagements, including, but not limited to partnerships and media
relationships
* Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders at
local, national, EU and international level
* Represent Women for Election in accordance with Women for
Election?s vision, mission and values.

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of Women for
Election, including

* Lead on the development and execution of Women for Election?s
campaigns, training programmes and events schedule
* Ensure delivery of financial targets and fundraising strategy as
agreed with the WFE Board
* Grow and develop Women for Election?s supporter base
* Oversee the development and implementation of Women for
Election?s annual budget, with oversight provided by the Board
* Demonstrate leadership excellence and a commitment to teach,
coach, and develop a small team.
* Be a public advocate for WFE across a wide range of media
* At all times, uphold Women for Election?s ethos and values
* Undertake additional tasks as agreed with the Board

PERSON SPECIFICATION - ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS -

* Demonstrable achievements and 5+ years project or campaign
management experience in a fast-moving environment, ideally in a
campaigning environment
* Significant knowledge and experience of the political landscape
and a commitment to act at all times in line with Women for
Election?s core value of non-partisanship.
* A passion for politics ? and a commitment to support more women
succeed in public life. Commitment to Women for Election?s mission
and values
* Experience of complex stakeholder management
* Demonstrate a track record in fundraising and delivery of
financial targets
* Demonstrable skills in people management, financial management,
and project or campaign management
* Familiar with non-profit governance and liasing with a Board of
Directors
* Demonstrable skills in implementing communications strategies,
including media relations, social media. Consistent excellence in
verbal & written communications in English, experience of writing and
editing
* Excellent people and relationship management skills, including
management of volunteers
* Ability to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity in a work
environment
