POST: SOCIAL CARE WORKER
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (**Apply on the website**.**Apply on

Location: Listowel Residential Service
_This post includes sleep overs and weekend duty_
THE ROLE:
* To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for our
individuals appropriate to their wishes and goals.
* To promote and protect the right of the people we support in a
manner that respects their dignity, right to make choices and their
privacy.
* To actively seek new interests and opportunities for the people we
support to develop meaningful roles in their Communities.
* To ensure the overall wellbeing of the people we support in all
areas of their lives including health and personal care.
* To assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting,
cleaning & building confidence.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* BA in Applied Social Care or equivalent qualification.
* Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably
within a disability service.
* A passion for promoting and empowering those you support.
* An excellent knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards.
* A full drivers licence desirable
