2.1 A minimum third Level 7 Qualification in a relevant social care
field

JOB SUMMARY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To manage all programs of the Aftercare Support Section of
Addiction Response Crumlin
* To assist in the implementation and further development of the
Aftercare Support Section in partnership, line management, community
of interest and statutory agencies.
* To create and develop links with other key agencies to support the
Progression of the Aftercare Support Section service users.
* To represent ARC at Inter-agency meetings and be a strong advocate
of Inter-agency working initiatives for the benefit ARC.
* To positively promote all aspects of the organisation and its
services.
* To provide focused one to one and group supports to help Aftercare
service users identify needs and to equip them to become more
self-reliant.
* To promote healthy life skills / lifestyles in the group.
* To develop and deliver programmes to meet the needs of the target
groups / individuals.
* To act as a support and advocate in relation to crisis
intervention
* To provide a safe and non-judgemental environment to encourage
engagement for the Aftercare member
* To facilitate key working /case management to ascertain issues
been presented by the Aftercare service users.
* To promote positive coping skills to deal with issues presenting.
* To promote emotional wellbeing / empowerment to build confidence
to challenge negative behavior, manage crisis in a more practical way
to encourage a positive outcome

3. ADMINISTRATION:

3.1 Assist in the maintenance of records of the organisation on
salesforce database
3.2 Carry out administrative procedures in accordance with
organisation policies
3.3 To be involved in the preparation of reports, statistics and other
information that may be required by the Programme
3.4 Attend internal/external meetings taking minutes when required.
3.5 Attend training as required by the organisation

4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

4.1 Diligent and meticulous record keeping.
4.2 Strong communication and inter-personal skills at all levels.
4.3 Strong IT skills with a strong command of Microsoft Office
4.4 Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise needs
and objectives.
4.5 Ability to maintain accurate records and identify errors,
omissions and irregularities
4.6 Ability to use initiative; apply sound decision making skills, and
to make assessments of the needs of our service users
4.7 Ability to act calmly in emergencies and respond in a professional
manner to challenging and stressful situations
4.8 Ability to work within ARC?s structures.

6.1 To continuously develop the role in conjunction with your line
manager

of Addiction Response Crumlin.
6.3 To participate in annual appraisals, and help in identifying your
own job-related development and training needs.

JOB SUMMARY

FLEXIBLE HOURS:

The nature of this post requires that the holder be flexible in
working hours to cover the operational times of the service. This will
involve scheduled evening Mondays and Thursday.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

The post holder shall carry out his/her duties under the line
management of the Managing Director. The post holder will report
directly to the Managing Director.
