Workshop Supervisor / Senior HGV Mechanic - Commercial Dealership
A leading Commercial Vehicle Dealership are seeking an experienced
Workshop Supervisor to oversee their depot team in their state of the
art facilities. The Workshop Supervisor will support the Depot Manager
and come with strong leadership, organisational and staff development
qualities. This role may also suit a Senior HGV Mechanic seeking to
step up into management.

The Package:

* Pension 3% after 6 months

The Workshop Supervisor:

* 5 years post apprenticeship experience required

* HGV Technical qualification / experience

* HGV licenses would be an advantage

* Previous Supervisory experience a major plus

The Role:

* Allocate jobs to technicians matching relevant skill sets and
indicating time allowed

* Monitor job progress and quality of technician&#**Apply on the
website**;s work

* Ensure technicians work within company guidelines and timelines

* Support technicians with fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and
repairs

* Carry out road testing and quality control inspections as required

* Manage and approve all job related paperwork in line with depot
standards

* Ensure high quality and frequency of communication with the Service
Advisor regarding workshop loading concerns and/or gaps

* Maintain frequent communication with Service Advisor regarding job
progress and additional repairs/time required ? Ensure approval has
been sought from Service Advisor / Customer before additional work
begins

* Manage on-site ad-hoc repair campaigns, including Refurbishment and
associated projects

* Deliver professional and efficient customer service at all times,
setting the standard for technicians

* Adhere to Company policies & correct working procedures, reporting
any errors, faulty equipment, safety issues, accidents, incidents or
near misses promptly to the H&S Officer &/or Management

* Maintain high standards of housekeeping

* Identify training requirements for technicians and apprentices

* Participate in company training and development programmes as
required
