1. ROLE

Depaul is a values-led organisation working with a number of services
throughout Dublin and Belfast. This role delivers the fundraising and
communications strategy as set out by the Director and in line with
the organisation?s Vision, Mission & Values. Essential to the
department and organisation, This post has cross border
responsibilities, meaning travel will be required between ROI and NI
locations, once it is again possible. Please see areas of
responsibility for a full picture of the duties of this role.

2. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

* Driving implementation of the overall fundraising and
communications strategy, representing the organisation in written and
in person on a range of activities across the organisation.
* Specific responsibility for overseeing and monitoring
implementation of the community fundraising strategy and grants and
trust applications and relevant staff associated.
* Specific responsibility for overseeing external communications
including areas of press, print, digital and social media and relevant
staff.
* Specific responsibility for managing and overseeing the
implementation and development?of the Depaul brand.
* Supporting all disciplines of the team including the corporate
fundraising and individual giving areas of the department.
* Overseeing the development of external reports and publications.
* Supervising operational output, approach to work and attendance of
staff on a daily basis alongside supporting team development.
* Contributing to the internal communications strategy alongside
revenant internal stakeholders.
* Contributing to the development of departmental strategy including
strategies for specific fundraising streams and communications within
and outside own brief
* Participating in overall departmental coordination and planning
* Preparing ad hoc reports when requested.

may be added over time and flexibility to cover for other staff roles
is required from time to time.

3. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

* A third level degree in communications, business/marketing or
another humanities subject is essential
* Postgraduate degree in a communications area is desirable
* Minimum of five years? fundraising and communications experience
in the charity sector
* Previous department management including line management
experience.
* Prior experience in multiple fundraising and communication
disciplines.
* Advanced Word and PowerPoint skills in addition to experience
using a CRM system
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal / influencing skills
* Collaborative, relationship building approach to working with
colleagues within own and other departments and externally
* Ability to balance multiple competing work demands, working to
tight deadlines
