ROLE: FUNDRAISING & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER.
Ais?ir? is an addiction treatment service with centres and services
in Tipperary, Wexford, Kilkenny and Waterford. We work with young
people, adults and their families. Our services include detox,
residential primary treatment, residential secondary treatment, a
sober living programme and a Continuum of Care Programme.
Ais?ir? is now seeking to recruit an experienced Fundraising and
Communications Officer. We are seeking applications from candidates
who have a good knowledge of the non-profit and charity sector, who
have a proven record of fundraising from a number of sources.
ROLE
Reporting to and in consultation with the CEO, the Fundraising and
Communications officer will be responsible for developing and
implementing the objectives as outlined in Strategic Plan &
Fundraising strategy and more specifically will:
* Implement and further develop the organisations Fundraising
strategy. Devise and oversee actions to ensure the strategy is being
implemented.
* Research and identify grant opportunities from a number of sources
including Pobal, EU sources and other state agencies. Apply and ensure
reporting criteria is adhered to.
* Work in collaboration with the Fundraising Committee to ensure
progress, set and achieve targets. Ensure documentation and recording
of all work.
* Oversee the reporting criteria in **Apply on the website** for
grants received in **Apply on the website**. Network and liaise with a
number of state agencies ensuring excellent working relationships and
collaborations.
* Research and apply for grants for specific projects such as Social
Enterprise.
* Consult with the management team and CEO to devise and implement a
social media strategy for the organisation.
* Build awareness of the organisation through different social media
platforms, build brand awareness for Ais?ir? and network with
external agencies and organisations.
* Update the organisations social media platforms with relevant
content. Represent the organisation on social media platforms.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
_THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST:_
* Have a third level qualification in Communications/ Marketing/
Fundraising or a related discipline.
* Have 3 years of relevant experience.
* Be able to demonstrate a history of successful fundraising
activities including organising events, completing grant applications
from state sources and securing private donations.
* Have a proven track record of delivering on objectives and working
with a number of external agencies.
* Have experience in reporting and responding to deadlines.
* Have excellent IT, organising, planning and communication skills.
* Have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible to meet
deadlines where required.
* Be self-motivated, solution focused and passionate about their
work.

JOB TYPE: 1 year contract.
