BALLYMUN JOB CENTRE IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE POSITION OF WORK
EXPERIENCE ENTERPRISE PROJECTS OFFICER

Many young people face the labour market dilemma that they cannot get
a job without work experience and they cannot get work experience
without a job. The Ballymun Job Centre is excited to announce that
with the support of JP Morgan, we are in a position to set up a Work
Experience Enterprise (WEE) Project which will give our clients an
opportunity to experience a simulated IT work environment and
undertake ICT projects and we are looking for a Project Officer to
join us on this exciting journey.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE ARE:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - In consultation with the project advisory group
and BJC staff the WEE Project Officer will develop a detailed work
experience framework for clients interested in ICT related work. Work
with the BJC Employer Engagement Officer to identify employers to
provide relevant work projects and assignments for the work experience
participants and develop and maintain relationships with these
employers. Assist in the recruitment and identify suitable
participants to take part in the programme and provide mentoring and
support to the participants on a daily basis. Allocate work and
assignments to participants and ensure that all projects are carried
out on time and to a very high standard. Provide updates and progress
reports to employers, management and funders as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - As the WEE project will focus mainly
on ICT related areas, the successful candidate should have working
knowledge of and an IT related qualification. A project management
qualification is also essential. They should have experience
delivering first class written reports and applications, excellent
communication skills and a proven ability to meet targets and work to
deadlines within a team setting.

THE CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Excellent project management and report writing skills. A good team
player with strong influencing skills, enthusiasm, friendliness and
approachability. Highly developed oral, written, presentation and
leadership skills with the ability to develop, communicate and gain
ownership for a clear vision and direction and the ability to advocate
for and negotiate projects and work assignments on behalf of the
clients. Provide visible leadership to WEE team members and peers by
collaborating with others and articulating ideas and viewpoints to
management and the advisory group.
