HEAD OF FUNDRAISING

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, the Irish Red Cross
is seeking to recruit a talented and dynamic Head of Fundraising.

THE IRISH RED CROSS

The Irish Red Cross National Society was established by the Irish

operated as an auxiliary to the state available to support in times of
emergency. Today, the Irish Red Cross (IRC), as a member of the global
Red Cross/Red Crescent movement continues to uphold the Red Cross
Principles by delivering a wide range of services to some of the most
vulnerable in our society through a nationwide community network of
areas and branches.

Our vision is to be a leading humanitarian organisation, providing
impartial services and support to vulnerable people and communities
both at home and abroad.

THE ROLE

The Head of Fundraising?is a key leadership position within the IRC
ensuring its current and future funding requirements are secured by
engaging consistently, coherently and with clarity with its diverse
stakeholders through its public, corporate and major donor fundraising
functions.

This post holder is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team,
reporting to the Secretary General. The Head of Fundraising is
expected to support and deliver on the wider strategic goals and
ambitions of the organisation.

To be successful,?the post holder must have?extensive previous
experience managing significant fundraising/revenue generating
programmes; experience developing an online fundraising presence and
extensive experience in the development of large-scale fundraising
programmes including individual giving, regular giving and
relationship management of corporate and major donors.

He/she will be self-driven, passionate about their work and
comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines. This role
requires superior communication skills coupled with a good
understanding of the Irish Charity / Not-for-Profit sector.
