_The Saint John of God Research Foundation clg is dedicated to
providing a research infrastructure and developing a culture of
inquiry across the Saint John of God Hospitaller Services Group. Our
mission is to support the Hospitaller Services Group in achieving a
service informed by research which will identify, respond to and
support the needs of all individuals in the manner of Saint John of
God. The Research Foundation funds research into mental health,
intellectual disability and old age. The Company also supports
research throughout Saint John of God Services through its Research
Department and Library & Information Services. We advocate for the
men, women and children who use our services, we share research
findings and we facilitate professional training through our annual
conferences and seminar series._

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant

JOB ROLE: The Administrative Assistant is a member of the Research
Foundation team. The team supports the work of the Research Foundation
in funding research, facilitating education and training, and sharing
research findings and training opportunities through online and
in-person events.

REPORTING TO: The General Manager

LOCATION: Saint John of God Research Foundation clg., Whitaker House,
Stillorgan, Co. Dublin.

TIME: **Apply on the website**.5 hours per week (0.5 WTE)

CONTRACT TERM: **Apply on the website** Month Fixed Term

JOB PURPOSE: The administrative assistant will provide support to the
General Manager in all aspects of the work of the Research Foundation,
but with primary responsibility for the following:

* Secretarial support for the committees of the Research Foundation.
This will involve scheduling meetings, assembling documentation,
taking minutes of meetings, and compiling annual reports.
* Preparing research award documents, maintaining a record of
research grant recipients, and acting as the point of contact for
research grant applicants and awardees.
* Coordinating online webinars and in-house conferences and
training.
* Assisting with the communication of the work of the SJOG Research
Foundation through social media (Twitter), websites and newsletters.
* Assisting with the production and maintenance of policy documents.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

EDUCATION:

* Relevant qualification

EXPERIENCE:

* At least 3 years? experience in an administrative role. Desirable
to have experience in research environment.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

* Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
* Strong writing skills with experience in drafting letters, emails,
minutes, and guideline documents
* Confident communicator
* A commitment to learning new skills required by the role
