POST: CO-ORDINATOR

(FULL-TIME/PERMANENT)

OVERVIEW

UISCE is an independent organisation that represents people who use
drugs and is inclusive of people who use drugs. We seek to contribute
to the quality of life of people who use drugs, their families and our
communities through a community development approach. This approach
promotes a high level of participation, inclusion and solidarity of
people who use drugs in decision making, in a process that can achieve
social justice and equality.

UISCE is currently finalising its? new 4-year Strategic Plan which
is focused on designing and developing new pathways, structures and
networks aimed at increasing participation and inclusion of people who
use drugs and at re-committing the organisation to the implementation
of the National Drugs Strategy.

JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a Co-Ordinator?with experience at a senior level
to lead and manage all strategic and day to day aspects of the
organisation, as well as experience of implementing change through a
community development approach. Reporting to the Chairperson of the
Board, you will be the head of the organisation, responsible for
leading the implementation of UISCE?s 4-year Strategic Plan. You
will work with people who use drugs, staff, partner organisations and
funders in ensuring the participation and inclusion of people who use
drugs in all aspects of the organisation and in all matters that
impact their lives. Candidates must demonstrate experience of
successfully leading and implementing initiatives and programs
designed for and with PWUD and must have a strong track record of
developing and maintaining a range of relationships at peer and senior
levels, both internally and externally with other relevant
organisations and funders.
