Site Contractor Safety Manager
Site Contractor Safety Manager - Amgen -Dublin

Our Client is Amgen and the role will be based in their Dun Laoghaire plant. The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.

Job Description
The site contractor safety manager will manage the implementation and ongoing support of the Amgen Contractor Safety Program (ACSP).
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Ensure compliance with HSA safety regulations and Amgen requirements.
Review contractor’s safety documentation including STA and work permits.
Monitor and document safety compliance contractor activities.
Oversee the Contractor/Subcontractor Orientation & Training of contractors.
Review contractor Job Hazard Analysis prior to project and /or work.
Implement changes when necessary to refocus safety efforts as determined by safety metrics.
Participate in incident investigations, report the RCA, and the lessons learned.
Compile and report safety statistics as required to the Amgen management.
Interface with the site EHS and F&E departments to issue work permits
Communicate to management on project safety.
This position reports to the Amgen Project Manager and has dotted line reporting to the Site and Corporate EHS Departments.
Frequent contacts and communication with Amgen personnel and outside contractor(s) and subcontractor(s) at various management levels concerning construction safety compliance, operations or scheduling of specific phases of project safety.

Requirements:
Experience in construction safety on large capital projects, experience managing construction safety in the pharmaceutical or related industry is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of the application of Local Safety regulations, EPA, and Pharma construction best practices.
Frequent use and application of construction and general industry safety technical standards, principles, and techniques.
Ability to solve problems and provide solutions to a variety of complex safety problems.

Package:
Minimum 4 month contract
Rate €60 - €70 per hour
