IICP College: Expression of Interest for Academic & Faculty Roles
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ACADEMIC & FACULTY ROLES AT IICP COLLEGE

IICP College is a private provider of counselling and psychotherapy
education programmes from Certificate through to Masters level.
Programmes are validated by QQI and/or IACP, and we also offer a range
of Continuing Professional Development Programmes. We are currently
seeking expressions of interest for a full time Head of Academic
Studies and a variety of part time faculty roles:

1. HEAD OF ACADEMIC STUDIES

This is a full time permanent role that consists of academic
leadership, teaching, and student support elements. Expressions of
interest are sought from those who meet the following criteria:

* Experience in an academic leadership role.
* Experience of management and administration in an education
setting
* Excellent ability to teach a range of relevant subjects
* Appropriate teaching and learning experience/qualifications
* Have a strong understanding of evidence-based practice and
research
* Promotion of programmes to prospective students
* Be proficient in the use of technology (PowerPoint, Moodle) for
teaching and learner support (An understanding of technology enabled
learning would be beneficial)
* Qualified to at least Level 9 on the NFQ

2. LECTURERS

IICP College is seeking to expand its panel of part-time lecturers,
associate lecturers and teaching assistants in areas such as
counselling and psychotherapy theory, skills, personal development and
research methods. Those with areas of specialisation (working with
children, family, sexuality, addiction, bereavement) are also welcome
to express their interest. IICP College offers the following major
awards on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ):

* Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapeutic Studies (L6 NFQ)
* BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (L9 NFQ)
* MA in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy (L9 NFQ)
* MA in Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy (L9 NFQ)
* Certificate in CBT (L9 NFQ ? Minor Award)
* Certificate in Improving Clinical Outcomes (L8 NFQ ? Minor
Award)
* Certificate in Suicide Postvention (L7 NFQ ? Minor Award)

Teaching is delivered on a modular basis . Salary per module
depends on experience. Expressions of interest are sought from those
who meet the following criteria:

* Excellent ability to teach a range of counselling and psychotherapy
related topics to include theory, skills, personal development,
clinical placement and research methods.
* Appropriate teaching and learning experience/qualifications.
* Fully accredited members of IACP/IAHIP/BACP ? at least 5 years
accredited (for counselling and psychotherapy specific modules only)
* Have a strong understanding of evidence-based practice and
research focus.
* Be proficient in the use of technology (PowerPoint, Moodle) for
teaching and learner support (An understanding of technology enabled
learning would be beneficial).
* Lecturers for our Level 8 Degree will be qualified to at least
Level 8 on the NFQ.
* Lecturers for our Level 9 Masters will be qualified to at least
Level 9 on the NFQ.

3. ASSOCIATE LECTURERS

These are part time roles. Expressions of interest are sought from
those who meet the following criteria:

* Strong ability to teach a range of counselling and psychotherapy
related topics to include theory, skills and personal development.
* Fully accredited members of IACP/IAHIP/BACP (for counselling and
psychotherapy specific modules only).
* Have approximately 2 years? teaching experience.
* Have a strong understanding of evidence based practice and
research focus.
* Be proficient in the use of technology (PowerPoint, Moodle )for
teaching and learner support (An understanding of technology enabled
learning would be beneficial).
* Lecturers for our Level 8 Degree will be qualified to at least
Level 8 on the NFQ.
* Lecturers for our Level 9 Masters will be qualified to at least
Level 9 on the NFQ.

4. LECTURING SUPPORT STAFF (TEACHING ASSISTANTS)

These are part time roles. Expressions of interest are sought from
those who meet the following criteria:

* Qualified therapists (to at least level 8 on the NFQ) who wish to
develop their knowledge, skills and competencies in teaching and
learning.
* Lecturing support staff should have good interpersonal skills and
exhibit a willingness to support faculty in the delivery of modules,
and to give developmental feedback to learners (for instance in skills
training).
