POSITION AVAILABLE FOR MANAGER

Killucan Area Services CLG is a voluntary organisation whose members
include The Golden Years Club and The Cairde Active Retirement Club.
The company and its Sub Committees organise and provides a range of
services including activities for the two Clubs, Community Transport
Services, Community Centre Management and QQI Accredited Adult
Education programmes. Core funding for the Company is provided by
Pobal under the Department of Rural and Community Development under
the Community Services Programme.

Applications are invited for the post of Manager with the Company.

The person entrusted with the position will possess a high level of
innovation, creativity, energy and will be a team player. He/she will
possess excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills to
deliver all requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
Applicants will be required to undertake relevant in-house and other
training where appropriate.
Applicants will be available to work hours suited to the community and
voluntary sector.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong skills and experience
in:

* Implementing Community Business / Service Plans and meeting the
targets therein.
* Providing formal reports to statutory and other agencies, to the
Board of Directors and its Sub Committees
* Implementing Policies and Procedures with particular reference to
finance, HR, health and safety and administration.
* Managing finances with particular reference to planning and
budgeting
* Fundraising, this will also include preparing funding applications
and implementing the terms within them
* Managing and supporting staff in their respective roles
* IT Skills particularly MS Word and MS Excel
* Updating website content (or be willing to undergo training).

KEY TASKS

In addition to the above, the Manager will develop and deliver
interesting and creative programmes of social and recreational
interest to the Golden Years and Cairde Clubs. The programmes will
include music, drama etc. and will be designed to broaden the appeal
of the Clubs to existing and potential members.
He/she will maintain existing excellent working relationships within
the organisation ? this includes with the Board, staff, volunteers
and programme participants.
