Construction Safety Officer - Sligo

Our Client is a stock listed global biopharmaceutical company, with a presence in over 100 countries and over 20,000 employess worldwide.



Job Description

In charge of all safety, health, environmrntal, fire protection and emergency response.

Oversee the safe installation of all mechanical, electrical, architectural ceiling works and clean room installation.

Deputise in the field for the Project/Construction Manager.

Implement and supervise all EHS issues such as Fire Safety, Risk Assessment and all other matters to ensure all contractors are in compliance with the guidelines and regulations.

Carry out all EHS inductions.

Chairing weekly safety meetings with PSCS on site.

Issuing daily access and work permits

Conduct safety inspections, provide safety training, ensure safe working environment for all contractors and employees.

Where requested develop SOP's for Environment, Heath & Safety.

Other ad hoc duties such as supervision of contractors work, carry out accident investigations, preperation of investigation reports, liason with the EHS Manager relating to Environment, Health and Safety and preparation of EHS reports for management.



Requirements:

At least a time served tradesman with EHS certification.

At least 10 years of relevant experience.

Self motivated, proactive and results oriented.

Possess good communication and analytical skills.

Ability to work independantly, interact with all levels of the organization and a team player.

Good computer literacy.



Package:

Salary ca ?50 - ?60 per hour

Duration: 6months +
