Our Client is Amgen and the role will be based in their Dun Laoghaire plant. The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.
Job Description
This position will be part of the Operations group and be responsible for the execution of all projects in that area. The Engineer reports to the Senior Manager Manufacturing. The candidate will have knowledge and proficiency in the use of statistical analysis tools, continuous improvement methodologies, problem solving and applied engineering relating to systems and equipment and associated automation systems.
Responsibilities include:
The chosen candidate would typically be accountable for the following activities (but not exclusively);
? Represent Operations as the single point of contact on significant projects. Liaise with the project manager to ensure all actions arising out of the project/projects are completed on time.
? Coach operations manufacturing personnel in new/changes to current manufacturing procedures and equipment as required.
? Manage and resolve technical issues or changes arising during routine / start-up manufacture whilst ensuring the overall operations team objectives of scope, cost and schedule are adhered to.
? Support of new product introductions and introduction of new equipment.
? Assist in writing, reviewing and approving SOP?s, MBR?s, change controls and technical reports as appropriate.
? Data trend analysis of all performance aspects of their system and equipment to identify and proactively manage performance trends.
? The definition and scoping of all process improvement activities relating to the system.
? All design reviews associated with equipment purchases.
? Risk assessments and mitigation projects relating to system performance.
? The development and execution of FAT, SAT and IOQ protocols in Ireland and abroad.
? Continuous improvement programs and all performance improvement projects.
? Working in a collaborative manner within the Process Teams structure and contributes to investigations, NC and CAPA closure.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)
Preffered - Experience in an aseptic pharmaceutical environment
Package:
Contract rate of ?25 - ?35 per hour
Minimum Contract duration: 6 months
