Samaritans Ireland: Project Manager
At Samaritans, our vision is that fewer people die by suicide. We
believe that suicide is preventable and that, together, we can make
change that saves lives.

To support us in achieving this vision in Ireland, we are seeking an
experienced Project Manager to work with the Samaritans Ireland
Executive Director, the Samaritans Ireland Governance Leadership
Group, and colleagues in Samaritans UK, to develop and implement a
detailed project plan arising from the findings of a recent review of
governance and structure in Samaritans Ireland.

THIS IS A FULLTIME, ONE-YEAR, FIXED TERM CONTRACT, SALARY IN THE RANGE

COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE. THE POST IS BASED IN DUBLIN WITH A MIX
OF OFFICE AND HOME-BASED WORK AVAILABLE, SUBJECT TO COVID **APPLY ON

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Draw up a viable plan for the implementation of the outcome of the
Samaritans Ireland Governance & Structure review, balancing costs,
risks, and beneficiary impact, ensuring both Samaritans Ireland and
Samaritans Central Charity interests are considered.
* Outline how in practice the new arrangements will work, and
identify any change management issues that the leadership teams will
need to work through
* Project management duties include:?Planning & implementation,
defining project scope, goals & timelines, quality assurance, risk
assessment, managing project administration, in conjunction with the
Samaritans Ireland Governance Leadership Group, deliver on agreed
actions arising from?key?workstreams

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Experience in successfully leading and managing organisational
development and change projects to deliver on agreed outputs
* Knowledge of effective communication techniques, and approaches
suitable for different audiences
* Excellent organisational and report writing skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience of partnership working
* Ability to manage a large complex project and manage appropriate
activity to achieve them
* Ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds
* Ability to understand fully the complexity of the role from the
outset, and develop their Samaritans network of role holders with whom
they need to engage to deliver this project
