JOB SUMMARY.

Are you passionate about working with young people in the community?
We are currently seeking a dedicated, youth worker who will serve as a
positive role model to support, lead and encourage young people in the
community. You will have the chance to encourage positive behaviour
and plan activities, to promote overall welfare of young people
attending our youth program project. While doing a job that really
matters.

to promote and provide quality activities and services to the
Community.

JOB TITLE: Youth Worker - Part Time

REPORTING TO:? Youth and Community Centre Co-ordinator

SALARY SCALE: Hourly rate of pay is ?**Apply on the website** per
hour.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Complete tasks as defined by the Youth and Community Centre
Co-ordinator which includes engaging young people in a youth work
process. Candidates will provide suitable youth work interventions to
facilitate personal development, promote pro social behaviour and
improve long term prospects for young people.

DUTIES:

* To assist with the planning, implementation, and delivery of
appropriate and relevant youth activities in line with national
policy, best practice, and funder requirements
* To identify, engage and support the needs of young people aged

* To encourage young people to participate in activities and form
healthy professional relationships with young people, treating them
with respect and dignity.
* To foster collaborations and leadership among young people by
delivering activities which promote teamwork, leadership skills and
confidence building.
* To work in partnership with individuals and other service
providers particularly in field
* targeting youth interventions
* To ensure all activities are provided within a safe and secure
environment, both on site and off site, paying attention to Health &
Safety and risk assessments
* To perform administrative duties including robust recording and
reporting on activities,
* levels of engagement, attendance, incident reporting, programme
evaluation
* To adhere to and work within all policies and procedures of
Loughlinstown Community Rooms

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

* A formal qualification in Youth Work, Community Studies or a
relevant field is essential.
* Some experience of working with vulnerable and disadvantaged young
people, ideally within a youth work setting.
* A positive, can do attitude is essential in this role.
* Flexibility, good time management, good problem-solving skills,
and a professional manner
* To be aware of and competent in national policy and best practice
as it applies to youth and community development.
